Dr. Octavia Sabin, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, at the Iuliu Ha?ieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca, has 20 years of experience in the fields of experimental and clinical pharmacology. Throughout her professional career, she has conducted research on highly relevant experimental topics, including pain management, the role of oxidative stress and inflammation in various pathological conditions, and the evaluation of the pharmacological effects of plant extracts with the aim of harnessing the therapeutic potential of bioactive plant compounds. She serves as an investigator in early-phase clinical trials conducted in collaboration with the contract research organization Arensia Exploratory. She has also been involved as a team member in research projects funded through national grants. Her teaching activities include practical training sessions and pharmacology lectures for medical students enrolled in both the Romanian and French tracks of the Faculty of Medicine
