Adriana Maria Mocan
Public Health Researcher, Founder & President of Willness Association, Strategic Leader & Healthcare Advocate
Adriana Mocan builds bridges between disciplines, people and ideas, turning complex challenges into coordinated action and meaningful change.
A PhD researcher in Public Health at Babe?-Bolyai University and Founder and President of the Willness Association, she brings nearly two decades of experience in business strategy, organisational development and humanitarian leadership to the field of neurological health.
Her doctoral research focuses on brain health and the prevention of disability accumulation in multiple sclerosis, exploring how clinical evidence, behavioural science, rehabilitation, patient-generated data and health policy can be integrated to preserve long-term function and independence.
Her perspective combines strategic leadership, scientific enquiry and lived experience. Having navigated multiple sclerosis herself, Adriana understands healthcare not only through research and institutional collaboration, but also through the realities faced by those living within its systems.
Through Willness, she develops initiatives that connect patients, healthcare professionals, researchers and institutional partners, translating knowledge into education, improved access and better-informed decisions.
Her work challenges the traditional boundaries between research, advocacy and healthcare delivery, with a clear ambition: to move beyond fragmented efforts towards systems that deliver lasting impact.
For Adriana, the goal is not simply to be part of the conversation, but to change what the conversation makes possible.
